CAICT Zoom Workshop The Connecticut Chapter of the Com- munity Associations Institute (CAICT) will present a virtual version of Condo, Inc., its course on “the business of running your community,” on three Wednesdays in May. Industry News BRIGS Opens NH Office BRIGS, LLC, has established a full-ser- vice management office with a maintenance division at 163 Main St. in Salem, New Hampshire, according to company CEO Scott Wolf. “This allows us to better serve our clients in southern New Hampshire and the Merrimack Valley of Massachusetts,” his announcement of the new office opening reported. BRIGS, LLC, was launched in 2017 through a merger of Greater Boston Prop- erties and Barrington Management. Since then, the company has grown from a staff of four managing 200 units to a team of 120 caring for 14,500 apartments and condos. Based in Boston, BRIGS also has offices in Arlington, Beverly. and Holliston, Mas- sachusetts. FirstService to Manage Sauta Farm FirstService Residential has begun pro- viding full-service property management services to Sauta Farm Condominium Trust in Hudson, Massachusetts, the company an- nounced in a press release. “We’re thrilled to announce our partner- ship with Sauta Farm,” said Michael Mendil- lo, FirstService Residential president. “Our team’s experience and knowledge of the lo- cal market will ensure a successful partner- ship with this impressive property for years to come.” Sauta Farm, a 55-plus townhome devel- opment, consists of 66 units. Boston Architects Honored Five Boston Society of Architects (BSA) members—Carolyn Day, Lori Ferriss, Cha- na Haouzi, Parke MacDowell, and Chris- topher Nielson—were among 23 architects from across the country honored with 2022 AIA Young Architects Awards, according to the BSA website. The Young Architects Award is given to those licensed for 10 or fewer years who have “demonstrated exceptional leadership and made significant contributions to the ar- chitecture profession early in their careers,” the BSA says. “As advocates for sustainable design, believers in the profession’s potential to further social change, and experts in their fields, these architects represent the best of Boston’s architectural community.” Beacon Communities: Top Place to Work Beacon Communities, headquartered in Boston, has been named a Top Places to Work USA 2022 award winner by Energage, according to a press release. The national award is based on employee feedback gath- ered through a third-party survey admin- istered by research partner Energage, LLC, a provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures sev- eral aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection, the press release says. “During this very chal- lenging time, Top Workplaces has proven to be a beacon of light for organizations, as well as a sign of resiliency and strong busi- ness performance,” says Energage CEO Eric Rubino. Beacon owns and manages properties in 11 states and the District of Columbia. Mikelonis Promoted at CHARLESGATE CHARLESGATE, a Boston-based inte- grated real estate firm, has promoted Todd Mikelonis to senior director of property management, according to a company news release. In his new role, Mikelonis will lead the entire property management department, allowing the company to operate seamlessly across all business units. He is now respon- sible for overseeing CHARLESGATE’s mul- tifamily management, HOA management, leasing, capital project and construction management, and its services teams. The company also announced it has named Andrea Martel and Casey Patterson associate directors of property management. Ross Orlando was named to the newly-cre- ated client experience manager role, while Jared Clement was promoted to the new leasing brokerage manager position. Sinnott Named VP at West Shore West Shore, a multifamily real estate in- vestment firm with a specific focus on the acquisition and management of multifamily assets, has promoted Kristi Sinnott to vice president of property management. According to a news release, Sinnott will be responsible for managing West Shore’s national multifamily portfolio, overseeing the physical, financial, and administrative operations of the properties, including rev- enue management, budgetary analysis, and managing and developing the regional and property staff. She will also provide over- sight and guidance in all management dis- ciplines to the regional, property and main- tenance teams involved in the operation of West Shore’s diverse portfolio of properties.
