Free seminars, networking opportunities and a chance to get all your condo questions answered — the 2013 New England Condo Expo brings it all together, in one day, under one roof.
If you’ve been trying to find solutions to ongoing problems, or have been looking for new technologies to make your community run more efficiently, this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for. Running from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm, the Condo Expo offers a full business day packed with information every community can use.
The New England Condo Expo on May 21st at the Seaport World Trade Center, 200 Seaport Boulevard in Boston, has it all. In addition to showcasing more than 150 exhibitors in an information-filled trade show, the Expo offers free advice booths and a full day of educational seminars featuring experienced professionals. Here’s a sample of the seminar line-up:
“Default: Examining Collections, Foreclosures and the Super Lien Law — What You Need to Know” about the sometimes tricky and confusing legal aspects of foreclosure, defaults, assessments, and more, led by attorneys from Marcus, Errico, Emmer & Brooks, PC, in Braintree, MA.
“Staying Ahead of Trouble–The Good, The Bad AND The Ugly In The Law” with attorneys from the Law Offices of Goodman, Shapiro & Lombardi, with offices in Dedham, MA, and Lincoln, RI, will look at legal and legislative concerns, compliance with local, state and federal laws, being aware of new legal threats and new legislative initiatives affecting HOAs and condos. Security, privacy rulings and amending your governing documents will be discussed as well.
“Roaches, Bedbugs & Mice - Oh My!” will feature industry professionals offering tips to keep your property pest-free.
Gary Goldman of Sherborn, MA-based Curb Appeal Consulting, which offers landscape auditing and consulting services, will also present an informative seminar for board members, trustees, property managers and real estate professionals.

Win $2,500 for Your Condo’s Reserve Account
Along with the exhibitor booths, seminars and networking opportunities, the show features a series of popular free advice booths. If you have questions about your association’s finances, policies, or day-to-day management, stop by for answers from volunteer legal, management, maintenance and financial professionals.
And of course, no trade show would be complete without giveaways and raffles.
This year will again feature the Reserve Fund prize giveaway, courtesy of New England Condominium and Yale Robbins Publications, LLC. One attendee will win a $2,500 contribution to their building association’s reserve fund. The winner will be drawn at random after registration has closed, and a check for the winnings will be made payable to the winner’s building, care of the association’s management company. Only trustees qualify to enter the reserve fund drawing, and attendance at the Expo is required for eligibility. For complete details on how to enter the reserve fund drawing, visit the Expo website, www.ne-expo.com.
